American Apparel MacArthur Park, Sinful Agaci

I was so excited to get this polish. I kept going into AA (which my husband calls the costume store. The kids in there look like they're in an 80's movie) to pester check to see if they had them yet.

I wasn't planning on getting this colour until I saw it popping up on blogs. I do love me some vomit coloured green polish. I did get a couple of bubbles as the polish was a titch thick (note to self: could use some thinner) and I fully consider it user error. BUT OMG COLOUR AWESOME!!

After a couple of days (2 coats, great wear!) I threw on one coat of Agaci. I had an idea it would be great over it and I'm happy to report it does. There's no sun here now, but it's glittery and sparkly and happy making.

It even makes my pink tinsel tree happy!

Color Club Bewitching, LA Girls Rockstar Overdose

I wish I would have taken more flash pictures of this. It was BLINGTASTIC.

I needed a glittery change and this worked out really nicely. The CC was a gorgeous satin one coater black and this is I think 2 coats of Overdose.

See? Not nearly as spectacular as the flash shots.

Still gorgeous though. Also, I for removal I put some acetone into a glass bowl and soaked my fingertips in it, nail side down if that makes sense. It took about 3 minutes before the polish just kind of slid off. Way easier for me than the foil method. I has the lazy .

I've been on kind of a polish bender lately, and when CG Tronica comes out I fear I will have to have them ALL!! What are you looking forward to?

Franken... uh Wednesday!

I often am envious of you all in the US. You get polishes like Elle's Spell, which we won't find up here.

So I reckoned I'd franken me a version. I used HT, some Orly Glam and Goth and a some Sally Hansen Cherry Red.

The sun poked it's head out and let me take some snaps.

I might not have gotten it bang on, but it looks really close to the pictures I've seen so far! What do you do when you can't find something you lust after?

OPI The Show Must Go On (again)

I know possums, I've worn his before. But it is such a perfect festive colour..

I had to show it to you again.

Also I made an executive decision that I will post repeats. I just can't remember what I've worn before all the time.
I hope I can show you ever improving picture skills too!

And here's a bonus picture of my little birdie ornament that is making me smile every time I see him. His story is over in my regular blog if you are interested in it.

Smile lovelies..

Friday FAIL

First off I HAVE to apologise for the greasy fingers. I was on my 3rd or 4th manicure of the day (don't you hate those days where nothing works?) and my cuticles were demanding some sort of moisture.

I had this idea in my head that I wanted glittering white nails with a red sparkle. I tried Revlon Powder Puff with Orly Winter Wonderland and Revlon Slipper. FAIL.

Then i tried a few different variations of mixing topcoats, and glitters until I thought I had it!

Which of course you can see by the rancid look of it, I didn't. This was Orly Winter Wonderland (3 coats) with one coat of Slipper. It was so spectacularly hideous and thick? OMG. I have FINALLY come to the conclusion, there is no white polish I can wear with giving me a) lobster hands and b) fits of rage.

Barf. Good thing I have a pal who likes white polish, they'll all soon have nice new home.

OPI DS Signature

I just love these polishes. I have never been disappointed with a single one.

They are bottled happiness.

Even when the rest of your world is a little dim, these sparkle like nothing else.

Perfection in 2 coats.

Whatever else can you ask for in a nail polish? pure love.

Franken Friday!! (Also starring Borghese Stellare Notte)

Is it cheating if I already showed you this franken once before? I don't care, it's my blog and I can cry if I.. oh right. Well it looks a little different with the Borghese under it.

Richer, more Nfu Oh like. I really need to get some of them there Nfu's.

I really should have taken some photos of the Stellare Notte, it is beautiful!

I was in a hurry, so that's how she goes. I was torn about wearing something dark again, but we have a small party to go to and weirdly, I think this is almost a neutral for me.

Whatever the occasion, happy weekend and happy whatever possums!

Sally Hansen Concrete

I have been wearing so many dark colours lately I needed to lighten up.

Literally and figuratively. I am totally tuning into a cuticle apologist. It's dry as hell here and my husband is taking back the humidifier as it is SO LOUD.

His solution? Put a cup of water in front of the fan at night.

I don't think it's working. But this SH is doing the job nicely. 2 very smooth coats. and Seche seems to play nicely with it, so there's that..

So, sorry about the dry hideous cuticles. I'll moisturise the shit outta them pre-next photos.

Damn this is pretty polish...

Sephora by OPI 212 Sephora

This was a total impulse buy I admit it. I was standing in line in Sephora waiting to buy my economy sized Hope In A Jar with my VIB dollars when I saw it.

Lucky for me the nail polish display is conveniently located right beside the checkout right?

I don't know why I haven't seen this more on blogs! It' spectacular! Golden brown with flakies and glitter and holo glitter and shimmer. It could have come out a hot mess, but nope. It is  lovely.

I'm not usually a fan of warm colours on me, but this is an exception. It looks like I need to revise that policy.

I did try this out with Seche and got some shrinkage, but you have to risk it, sitting on your biscuit! This was 3 coats and I'm in love.

Sinful See You Soon, Agaci

I am positively entranced with this glitter top coat!

Sinful makes some GORGEOUS colours right? Even if I won't pay 6$ (no way London Drugs. NO WAY!)
I will order them from Cherry Culture.

See You Soon is a blackened teal with shimmer. Covered amazingly well in 2 easy to clean up coats.

I just wanted something a little more POW so I added a couple of coats of Agaci (weird name yes?) and am loving the result.

I am NOT loving how dry everything is here. Hence the liberal slathering of cuticle oil. Greasy goodness. Also I find it stops me from dinging up my manis right away. Anyone else use it for that too?

I'm back to using my Sally Hansen Insta-Dri (red bottle) again. Seche is too finicky for me right now. I know it plays really well Essie so will use it when I use those polishes, but don't have the intestinal fortitude to keep much better records right now.

Happy weekend possums!
