7 random things about me?
-I have a Horror Movie A Day Blog where I am trying to watch a horror movie everyday for 2011. I love me some horror movies!
-I eat the same thing for breakfast (and sometimes lunch) everyday. Plain yogurt with Holy Crap cereal and some vanilla bean paste and Splenda. I live on the edge I tell you.
-I have Fibromyalgia. It sucks. But I am really thankful it didn't come when my kiddo was young. I can't imagine having a little one feeling this shitty all the time. YIKES..
-I am religious about sunscreen. And moisturiser. I regularly get mistaken for 10 years younger than I am, because I HATE THE SUN. It burns us my precious.. well us pale ones anyways.
-I have 9 tattoos. 1 one my chest and 8 on my arms. The ones on my arms are symmetrical on each arm. I feel the need for balance. Stars, birds, diamonds, yarn on my right, a cupcake on my left. I am a tattooed lady.
-I love my dogs like they are my kids. In fact Pickles (my 3 year old dog) shares a birthday with my 18 year old son Jake! He loves the dogs too. So does my husband. I LOVE DOGS!
-I love being in a house full of boys. I get boys, I understand them. I used to be the only girl where I worked for a while and it was the most fun ever!

LA Girl Rock Star Punk

This is totally a hard colour to photograph. I had a hell of a time getting the beautiful purple flash to show up. This is outside not in full sun.

Still in the shade, can you see the gorgeous?

Full on sun. This is 3 coats by the way. It was surprisingly sheer.

A hint of purple flash...

And you can kinda see it here in the tips of my nails.

Under my CF light. FINALLY. Purple flash achieved!

Ahhhh.. that's better!

American Apparel African Violet and Bonus Bottle pics!

I do love a nice red purple. I think they are so much easier to wear than a lavender/mauve. Darker is so much more manageable for me.

This covered gorgeously, I probably could have done 1 careful coat, but I am a creature of habit, so 2 it was.

I would have worn this all week if not for an incident with my Kitchen Aid and not quite set polish. Oh well! There is always more polish to use right?

These are the Tommy Hilfiger bottles I promised to show you. They are nice! The cap is rubbery (like Nars packaging) and are easy to grip.

The silver one on the end (untried) looks like a Lippmann polish I've seen at Murale!

This poor bastard was a victim of I don't know what. When I opened the box they came in, the bottle had a huge spill and it somehow eaten away a big portion of the rubbery cap! So in my zest to clean it up, I used acetone on the rubbery part. OOPS! Yeah, that didn't pan out so well. Good thing I'd pickled up some empty bottles at the supply place! This blue looks pretty nondescript anyways but still.. hats' off to the fallen soldier.

Happy weekend possums!

Joe Fresh Moss

I had no Joe Fresh polishes at all. :( We rarely go to Superstore because they never have enough cashiers on and standing 12 deep with a cart full of stuff sucks.

We sucked it up to go there last week and I picked up this little gem.

OMG LOVE. 2 coats of perfect green creamy goodness.

This was easy to apply and clean up, and the colour is lovely.

I wish I'd picked up more colours, cause it may be a long time before we head back there. But rest assured there will be more polish in that cart when I do.

Tommy Hilfiger Pink

I don't know if I have ever worn a colour as bright as this one.

Honestly! Even my husband noticed it. He was all "Wow! That is one bright red!" and then I had to tell him it was pink. Or more appropriately fuchsia.

This has that awesome plastic-y quality that the blue one did. It even feels slightly rubbery.

I love it. Plain and simple. 2 coats, clean up was beyond awesome. Don't you love polishes like that? Where the clean up is super easy? I sure do.

Enough that I went and found the other set of the metallic ones. Haven't tried them yet but I already had bottle trauma with one of them. I'll take photos of said bottles for you all.

American Apparel Army Jacket

I was obsessed with this colour.

It was my reason to keep going into AA. I wanted it so bad!

Now I'm slightly underwhelmed. It kinda pales beside the fugtacular MacArthur Park.

Don't get me wrong, I love it. And this is 3 days of wear! Held up like a champ. 2 coats of creamy goodness. It will probably be a go to palate cleanser for me.

But I have to say, I'm kinda in love with the fug colours right now. Weird. Also: I had 2 nails break on me (my nails never break!) so they got super nubbinised. They are even a little shorter than this now. They broke while I was wearing that Tommy H blue, but the polish was so weirdly plastic like, it held them together for me to get home and clip 'em down. Wowsers right?

Happy weekend possums!

Tommy Hilfiger Blue

My husband is a big fan of Tommy Hilfiger so we tend to go into the shop a lot. During the Boxing Day sales I happened to notice a set of polish at the counter when he was paying for his stuff. I picked it up seeing it was 60% off and OMG NICE!

There was this colour (which is a little more teal-ish IRL), a creamy light grey, and a medium fuchsia pink.

It went on super smooth, I had practically no clean up to speak of. The colour was opaque in say 1.5 coats but I do 2 out of habit always.

On the bottom of the bottle it says manufactured for tommy.com in the Netherlands. I have no idea who the maker is but DAMN! Super duper nice polish! There was also a sparkly metallic set as well.. I may pick it up if I see it again.

Isn't it lovely? It has no name either, so I call it.. blue. ;)
