On my nails? Not too sure..

I may have to resort to what the lovely KarenD* suggested and start carrying around a flashlight.

It is pretty and olivey and has leetle tiny flakies in it..

2 coats and it covered wonderfully. Although I have to say, both this and Problem Child had the most jacked up brushes EVER. Seriously, they are crack is whack jacked!

What do you think? Is this all that and a bag of chips? Oh gods I could eat the hell out of some salt and vinegar chips RIGHT NOW.

Sally Hansen Problem Child

I am slightly less than plussed with this colour. 

It's pretty, and there are teeny tiny flakies in it. Like the little sister of OPI Merry Midnight.

But all I see is dark. Until I look super duper closely at it with my glasses off. 

Then it is AWESOME SAUCE!! But it is really not practical to walk around squinting into my nails. 

One might walk into the wall if one did that. You know.. if one was that dumb.

yeah.. I totally did that. sigh.

And just never mind about my cuticles. I am almost never a cuticle apologist, but -37? yeah, between the furnace and shoveling the walks? gross. just gross.

China Glaze Peace on Earth

I've been seeing the ChG X-mas collection at nail polish heaven for the last month or so, and have passed on all of them.

Until I started seeing this one pop up on nail blogs. 

I have a huge hate on for frosts and I thought that POE was one until I saw .... nope!

In fact it's a metallic olive. Right up my alley!

Even Chris likes it. In fact he picked it as my manicure. 

2 coats, and it has great coverage. We have no sun here right now, only snow, so this is indoors with natural light.

Well... as much as there is right now.And btw.. that's not tip wear. It's Seche Vite being a big jerk. :/

Zoya Shawn

Hello possums!! I'm back from exile (in flickr land) and ready with some super pretty!

I went and got a haircut yesterday. I love my stylist. His head massage when shampooing is sublime.

It was freezing out AND snowing, so I had to dig out my car and warm it up. Why does the knitter have no mittens? Must be all those mitten classes I used to teach.. I shudder at the thought of knitting more of them. :/

After my haircut, I walked down the mall and remembered OMG! There's a salon here that almost always has the new Zoyas! My salon has the core collection, but nothing new

So wowee zowee, they have Shawn. Lovely, lovely Shawn. 2 perfect coats (maybe could have done 3.. or a more careful 2) of olive green fabulosity.

A reward if you will for the frozen fingers (I have something called Raynaud' Syndrome so cold is NOT GOOD FOR MY HANDS. Yikes.) and grocery toting, it is now mine! Mine all mine. This is the first Zoya I have that hasn't bubbled like crazy. See? It was meant to be.

I love these colours so much. If I could get my mitts on RBL's No More War I'd be the happiest pony in the stable. But shipping being what it is.. no way Jose..

So the midlife crisis line called and they want their Mohawk back. I mean seriously.. it's been 25 years since I've had hair this rocknrolla.

OPI Let Me Entertain You, Femme Couture Prince ala Charm

I was in the mood to do some layering. 

So I pulled out the OPI LMEY (ha ha limey) and topped it with some Prince ala Charm. 

Yay!

I rarely like stuff on the first go but this was a win for me.

I do think my love affair with Seche Vite is over though, it shrinks like a bastard. Especially on Orly polishes I've noticed. It really does prevent chips, but it makes my tips look TERRIBLE. Not impressed dude. 

Also, since I'm already kind of bitching, since when has blogger had limits on photo storage? Ugh. Now I get to take the extra step to upload pix to flickr and then transfer them to blogger. LAME

Sorry about any too big-ness of the pix, it took me bloody ages to figure out this stupid new way of dealing with photos. I'll get it eventually. Hopefully.
